Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Believe right = Living Right

Believe right = Living Right

The world is full of people who are controlled by their feelings, Powerful people have liberating thoughts that allow them to have deep rich emotions. Living by your beliefs will create a stronger, richer, and healthier emotional life.

How do you know if you are living by your beliefs or your feelings?

keywords: living by beliefs, living by faith, live by the bible

You know when your emotions are running the show. When you are stressed out and anxious, you have given the enemy the keys to your life. You are stressed because you are relying on yourself.

You have become very aware of “what to do” instead of who you are. Doubt starts with “DO.” The more you try to do, the more anxious and stressed you will be. DO is a function of self. That self already died with Jesus on the cross.

Your old stressed self died with Jesus on the cross. You are not anxious anymore.

stressed man

Romans 6:5 - New Century Version

Christ died, and we have been joined with him by dying too. So we will also be joined with him by rising from the dead as he did.

Romans 6:6 - The Message

Could it be any clearer? Our old way of life was nailed to the cross with Christ, a decisive end to that sin-miserable life-no longer at sin's every beck and call!

What we believe is this: If we get included in Christ's sin-conquering death, we also get included in his life-saving resurrection.

We know that when Jesus was raised from the dead it was a signal of the end of death-as-the-end. Never again will death have the last word.

When Jesus died, he took sin down with him, but alive he brings God down to us.

From now on, think of it this way: Sin speaks a dead language that means nothing to you; God speaks your mother tongue, and you hang on every word. You are dead to sin and alive to God. That's what Jesus did.

Sin, anxiety, and stress are the fruit of the old nature you had. That thing is dead and buried!

dead to sin and alive to God

Romans 6:11 - The Voice

So here is how to picture yourself now that you have been initiated into Jesus the Anointed: you are dead to sin's power and influence, but you are alive to God's rule.

This is how you should see yourself. Dead to sin and its power and alive to all the good God has for your life.

The Gospel is the Key to Right Believing

keywords: gospel, Christianity

The gospel renews minds! The gospel let us know we are right with God if we rely on Jesus completely. If we lay aside our merit and come to Christ, the gospel is the answer for the transformation of the heart. Your feelings and emotions will line up with heavenly glory.

Romans 10:17 - Amplified Bible

So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ.

Faith comes by hearing. As you continue to hear the gospel and the good news about God. Your heart will swell with joy and peace. When you stop thinking of self and “doing” and you embrace your identity of “being” loved and accepted before the Father. It will change everything.

Deconstructing the Gospel in 2 Corinthians 4:4

keywords: gospel and belief, believing in our hearts

2 Corinthians 4:4 - Amplified Bible Classic

For the god of this world has blinded the unbelieversminds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.

The work of darkness is to blind minds to the truth. That’s why the truth can seem hard to find. Jesus, the image and likeness of God, reveals truth and The Father to us. He is illuminating our minds we see him to experience more and more of heaven on earth.

The Gospel and Mindset of the Church

keywords: mindset, mind control

The church teaches people that humility is not thinking well of yourself. God, the humblest being, thinks very highly of himself. He lacks no confidence. Moses and Jesus said they were humble.

Numbers 12:1 - Contemporary English Version

Although Moses was the most humble person in all the world, Miriam and Aaron started complaining, "Moses had no right to marry that woman from Ethiopia! Who does he think he is? The LORD has spoken to us, not just to him." The LORD heard their complaint

Matthew 11:29 - Amplified Bible

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST (renewal, blessed quiet) FOR YOUR SOULS.

Don’t fall into the trap of low esteem. God gives you permission to think highly of yourself. The safety net is to make sure you do that for others. See them higher than they see themselves. The cure for pride isn't self-deprecation. It’s sharing.

How is Your Belief System Affecting Your Everyday Life?

As long as you think about “doing” before “being.” You aren’t living the gospel. You can’t “go” until you are sent and you cannot be sent if you don't know how to “be.”

You can’t accomplish supernatural things the natural way. Supernatural deeds come out of supernatural rest.

Matthew 11:28 - Living Bible

Come to me and I will give you rest-all of you who work so hard beneath a heavy yoke. Wear my yoke-for it fits perfectly-and let me teach you; for I am gentle and humble, and you shall find rest for your soulsfor I give you only light burdens."

Matthew 11:29 - Amplified Bible

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST (renewal, blessed quiet) FOR YOUR SOULS.

What's the Real Difference Between "I Believe" and "I Feel"?

keywords: faith or feelings, know what you believe

Believing means feeling! When you really believe God’s promises you will feel it. The faith released from “hearing” God’s truth about you will eventually flood your emotions with hope. It takes faith(Consistent focused attention to God) and patience. You can’t reclaim your emotions overnight. Choosing truth is the hardest at the beginning.

Lie: I’m not skilled enough to get the role I need

Proverbs 2:6 - Amplified Bible

For the LORD gives [skillful and godly] wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Lie: I will never be in good shape. I’m fat.

2 Samuel 22:35 - New Living Translation

He trains my hands for battle; he strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow.

Lie: Your relationships will never recover

Psalm 128:3 - Amplified Bible

Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine Within the innermost part of your house; Your children will be like olive plants Around your table.

Lie: You will die old and frail

Psalm 92:14 - New International Reader's Version

When they get old, they will still bear fruit. Like young trees they will stay fresh and strong.

How to Cultivate a Healthy Relationship with Ourselves Through Proper Belief Systems

keywords: self-image, self-esteem, worthiness

Seek God! Ask him for grace and cultivate a relationship with Jesus based on his finished work. Negativity cannot exist in a space occupied by God.

pursuing God

Conclusion: We should believe our way into the Kingdom. Believe our way into good deeds. A good tree produces good fruit. Believe you are a good tree because of the gospel.

Right thinking = Right doing. Doing to prove righteousness= Failure
