seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. Desperation
The presence of God is the atmosphere for every born again believer (Luke 17:21).We must press into the reality of his presence (Matthew 7:7). God is with us but we must experience who he is. That only happens when we pray with desperation(1 Sam.1:10). We can live desperate to be encountered by God. God has given us everything in Jesus but we must press on towards it. He lives in us and everything is finished but there is a desire in our hearts to not let his word return void. "... For this reason we must apply all diligence." Diligence means we need to ask. Diligence means we need to seek God. Diligence means we pray day and night to encounter him and to experience him. We need to pray like the apostles in Acts 4 that we might experience God in his fullness.
29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”
31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
