Rest
The discipline of rest. We have to do everything in our power to rest. We have to let go. Surrender. Surrender to the glory of God within us wishing to speak. We must search out the kingdom within. That can only be done with a still heart.
A heart of stillness
We progress from a posture of peace. As we acknowledge what God has done and rest in the finished work of the cross we become dangerous. Soaking is our divine invitation to access all of heaven's delights in the here and now. I'm not waiting for the sweet bye and bye. I'm getting raptured right now. I live in heavenly places even as I stand on the earth(Eph. 2:6).
Quiet
Resting in the presence. We let go of our works and become engulfed in his. We step into relationship and out of performance. He shows us who we are and our works become a harmonious expression of union. Our days become a fragrant song where heaven invades earth.
Be still
As we are still, he makes himself known. "Be still and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10).
Prayer
Lord teach us to be still. Like a good shepherd, God lead us to your peaceful pastures. I thank you that I am stepping into rest. Into you. Thank you. In Jesus name, amen.
