Desperate Prayer

The church navigated through the most difficult seasons through prayer. Whether it was the mass persecution during the reign of Nero in the Roman Empire or the Moravians who started a 100 year prayer movement. Prayer is the catapulting force of effective heavenly work. We must live desperate. We must live pressing to get closer to the Holy Spirit. His hunger is infinite and he desires that his people share his desires.

Desires

So often we don't pray because we don't know what to pray about. It's hard to pray when all the church tells you is that you are wicked or prone to evil. It's hard to trust the Spirit speaking to us when we don't even trust our ears to hear it. If our heart is wicked then even our discernment is shot!!! At some point we have to believe in the reality of our conversion and that propels us to a place of intimate prayer. Without understanding our given place we cannot demonstrate God's government on earth. We have been given such a glorious gift. 

Mark 11:22-25

“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” 

Prayer

Father, teach us to pray with power. Teach us to believe in your high opinion and call of us so we can glorify you, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Proclamation 

I declare I am righteous. I will pray and demonstrate a desperation to see heaven come to earth. Thank you Lord!!!!
