even so consider yourselves also dead to sin and your relation to it broken but alive to God(living in unbroken fellowship with him) in Christ Jesus.
You are who you hang around. It's said "show me your friends and I'll show you your future." Our relation to things conversely reflect us. We are a mirroring people. We reflect what we see. You can tell a lot about what a person thinks of themselves by what they think about people. Your view of humanity is the exact view you have of yourself. We don't see things as they are, we see things as we are. In this context relationships are vital. What we relate to, we transform to.
