The master of breakthrough

 2 Samuel 5:1-3, 17-25 2 Samuel 4:1

Then all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and said, “Behold, we are your bone and your flesh. When Saul’s son Ish-bosheth king of Israel, heard that Abner had died in Hebron, he lost courage, and all Israel was horrified. In times past, when Saul was king over us, it was you who led Israel out to war and brought Israel in from battle. And the Lord told you, ‘You shall shepherd My people Israel and be ruler over them.’” So all the elders tribal leaders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and King David made a covenant with them at Hebron before the Lord; and they anointed him king over Israel...

When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over Israel, all the Philistines went up to look for him, but he heard about it and went down to the stronghold. Now the Philistines had come and spread out for battle in the Valley of Rephaim. David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You hand them over to me?” And the Lord said to David, “Go up, for I will certainly hand them over to you.” So David came to Baal-perazim, and he defeated them there, and said, “The Lord has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water.” So he named that place Baal-perazim master of breakthroughs. The Philistines abandoned their pagan idols there, so David and his men took them away to be burned. The Philistines came up once again and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim. When David inquired of the Lord, He said, “You shall not go up, but circle around behind them and come at them in front of the balsam trees. And when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then you shall pay attention and act promptly, for at that time the Lord will have gone out before you to strike the army of the Philistines.”

David did just as the Lord had commanded him, and struck down the Philistines from Geba as far as Gezer.

David had just been received as king. His dream was coming to pass to be able to lead God's people. Right after his promotion the enemy took the opportunity to attack him. David sought The Lord for wisdom as he tends to and God said  "Go I got your back" and David crushed the Philistines. The Philistines got re-acclimated and decided to prepare their ranks again.

The the the Lord said  "David move when you hear my angels in the tops of the trees. I got your back buddy!" David followed the prompting and God broke through. This is what David said of the Lord after the victory.

"The Lord has broken through my enemies before me like a breakthrough of water" so he names that place Baal- Perazim. The name "Baal" means master; Lord ; and husband. When David calls God by that name. He is saying " Lord, you are the master of breakthrough. You are the Lord of breakthrough. You are faithful to that for you are faithful to us as a husband."

In this season God is releasing the angelic hosts before us and he is saying "advance quickly because I'm about to "BURST" through in your life. Places you could not get into I'm opening up now by the Spirit. Just see me as your master of breakthrough. See me as the missing piece to the  situation. See me as the answer and commit yourself to me. I will break forth like the mighty waters. I will break the proverbial dams in your life that hinder the flow of the Spirit that you desire.
